On the one side, I think it would just be so funny if Luke was his fantasy type. Reid arrives in Oakdale just absolutely loathing Luke and then gets a look at him and gets even more pissed off that the guy is hot.
But it probably would be more romantic if Luke wasn't Reid's normal type when it came to anything at all. And yet it doesn't stop Reid from admiring him, lusting after him, or falling in love with him.
I've also given a little thought about Luke's fantasies pre-Reid[I don't see him bringing porn into the Lilypad or to his Grandma's place]. There's not really a through line when it comes to Kevin, Noah and Reid. Especially physically. But I've always thought that Luke wasn't actually attracted to Reid at all at first. He was completely in love with Noah during that time and wouldn't have been able to comprehend wanting anyone else. I think that he started becoming physically attracted to Reid during all the Shoving-Fests but didn't acknowledge it even to himself. I think that the first time he thought about Reid sexually was during the shoving at the Lilypad. YMMV.
