March 2010 inside the police station…
Reid sat at Officer Dolt’s desk waiting impatiently for the incompetent fool to finish his personal phone call. His mind still raced from the encounter he had a few minutes ago. He had hardly expected to see Richie Rich in the lobby but he had, and he knew now more than ever he had to get back to Dallas. Reid brushed his lips softly with his hands still feeling the blond bangs brush against them. His shoulders still felt the pressure of Mr. Snyder’s hands pushing him into the wall. His heartbeat still beat a little faster. His cock still felt a little thicker. Indeed an immediate return to Dallas was necessary before he did something completely irrational.
Across the room Reid saw an older version of Luke in a prison jumpsuit being escorted from the holding room. Reid knew immediately this was Damian, aka Bad Dad. The men locked eyes. Reid could not bring himself to look away as he approached. As Damian neared, Officer Dolt ended his call and turned to Reid.
“Dr. Oliver what can I do for you today?”
Damian stopped in his tracks. Neither man looked away. Reid recognized the determination he saw in his eyes. Mr. Snyder used that same look on him trying to get him to do Mr. Mayer’s surgery. He felt fortunate that Damian was handcuffed and the maybe not so idiotic police were right there. He was sure that Bad Dad was not very happy about the outcome of his faked death and knew that he was the reason for its unraveling.
“Mr. Grimaldi we need to leave.”
“One moment please,” Damian said to his guard. He then turned his attention back to Reid. “You were the one who proved I wasn’t dead, weren’t you?”
“Yes, I was.”
“What possessed you to get involved?”
“Mr. Snyder asked for my help. It seems he had good reason to doubt your death when told of your demise.”
Damian gave Reid an accepting nod. “That was very clever of you to solve the mystery. I’m grateful you came to Luciano’s aid. It’s unfortunate that he had to suffer from so much misinformation. He has suffered so much in his life already. If you see him tell him being his father is the best thing that ever happened in my life. All I want is his happiness.”
Reid said nothing and stared directly back at him. The words were unassuming and kind, but the tone in Damian’s voice was unnerving. Reid tried very hard to not show how affected he was. He slowly nodded in agreement. The officer pulled on his shoulder to lead him away. Damian walked a few steps before he turned back one last time.
“Dr. Oliver, I won’t forget what you did.” With a final intense stare Damian walked off to the prison van.
Reid swallowed the intimidation down. He squeezed his eyes shut and pinched at the tension forming at his brow. He definitely did not need a final veiled warning like that. He had to get back to Dallas and away from this drama immediately. With a sharp intake of air he turned toward Officer Dolt once more.
“Please tell me I can leave this God forsaken town.”

Just love Reid's discomfort at his attraction to Luke.
Reid brushed his lips softly with his hands still feeling the blond bangs brush against them. I find this line SO sexy.

Reid was definitely showing signs of his attraction to Luke by this time no matter how much he tried to fight it.
Thank you for such a great comment.
