Reid looked confusedly at the young man who’d just walked in from the bedroom.
Damian approached the man and kissed him on the forehead before pointing to Reid. “This is your surprise, Luciano. This is Dr. Reid Oliver. Doctor, this is my son.”
Reid was taken aback. He’d never had a threesome before, but he was curious and horny and trying not to be repulsed by the idea of a father-and-son tag team. But both men were attractive as hell and Reid wanted to have some fun after the disastrous day. “All right, whatever floats your boat.” He stared at them, waiting.
Luciano looked horrified. “Damian, I don’t need a doctor! There’s nothing wrong with me!”
“No, no, Luciano, you misunderstand. He’s not here to examine you,” Damian quickly said, rubbing his son’s back.
Reid smiled at Luciano. “I’m only here to fuck.”
“What?” Luciano exclaimed.
Damian laughed nervously and motioned for Reid to be quiet. He looked at Luciano. “Luciano, Luke, I know you’re still hurting over Noah but you need to move on. And this nice doctor here might be just what you need.”
“Hold the phone,” Reid said, looking at Damian and pointing to Luke. “I’m only here for him?” Not that there’s anything wrong with that, Reid thought.
“My son is gay and you’re gay so-”
“-so you want us to have a gay old time together,” Reid interrupted with a smirk.
Luke covered his face. “Dad, I can’t believe you did this.”
“Hey, he’s pretty cool to pick up someone for you; he’s a great wingman,” Reid said. He looked at Damian. “So, what, were you going to pay me to sleep with him? Because I’m a doctor; I don’t need your money.” He turned to Luke and winked. “I could pay you, though.”
Luke glared at Reid.
“I thought you’d want to meet someone else like you, Luke.” Damian’s cell phone suddenly rang. “Why don’t the two of you talk while I answer this?” Before anyone could protest, Damian slapped Luke’s back and left the suite.
Reid raised his palms in the air. “I’m keeping my hands to myself, Luciano, but how about a drink?”
“I don’t drink.”
“You don’t fuck and you don’t drink-are you sure you’re gay?”
Luke rolled his eyes. “You can leave.”
Reid sat on the couch. “I’ve got nowhere to be. Besides, I came all the way up here and this is the most interesting night I’ve had in a long time; do you mind if I just rest here a bit?” He leaned back into the soft cushions.
Luke scratched the back of his ear. “Um, I could fix you a drink if you still want it.”
“Are you sure?”
“It’s not your fault that you’re up here to begin with. It’s the least I can do.”
Reid nodded, and Luke walked out of the living area.
He returned minutes later and handed Reid a scotch. He sat on the far end of the couch. “Um, I’m sorry about my dad. He just doesn’t get it.”
“Why are you apologizing?”
“Because he lured you here for me and-”
“-and he was just looking out for you,” Reid said, sipping his scotch. “No harm done.”
“He thinks all gay people are automatically attracted to each other; he doesn’t get that we’re just like everyone else,” Luke said sadly. “You can’t force us on one another.”
“I wouldn’t mind being forced on you,” Reid said softly. And he really wouldn’t.
“Honestly?”
“I’m still here, aren’t I?”
Luke blushed. He remained quiet for a few seconds before smiling at Reid. He extended his right hand. “Can we start over? I’m Luke Snyder.”
Reid smiled back and shook Luke’s hand. “Dr. Reid Oliver.” He sat up and faced Luke. “So, do you want to talk about that Noah guy?”
“How much time do you have?”
“Like I said, I’ve got nothing to do so . . . all night?”
Luke nodded and settled comfortably on the couch.
“And hey, Luke, your dad?”
Luke looked at Reid.
“-he’s not so bad. He loves you and he seems to only want you to be happy.”
Luke nodded firmly. “I guess he’s all right.” He grinned at Reid. “And if all goes well tonight, maybe I’ll thank him later for all this.”
Reid winked at him. “I hope I can too.”
Luke laughed. “I’m not talking about that.”
“I am,” Reid answered. When Luke looked questioningly at Reid, Reid laughed. “I’m joking . . . for now.”
An amused Luke shook his head and scooted closer to Reid on the couch.
