Prompt Filled: 'Car Shopping' Ficletsleeper6December 4 2011, 04:08:15 UTC
“Look at this one, Luke,” Reid says, whistling as he touches the hood of the sleek black car.
“Ah, yes, the BMW 550i sedan,” says Carlos, the car salesman. “Excellent choice, Doctor.”
Luke slowly walks around the car as he inspects it. “It is a nice car.”
“Nice? It’s amazing. And hot,” Reid says, grinning and winking at Luke.
Carlos pulls a key from his pocket and unlocks the car. “400 horsepower, V-8 engine with Twin Power Turbo technology. It’s a real beauty.” He steps back so Luke and Reid can inspect it.
“I want this car,” Reid says, sitting in the driver’s seat and adjusting the rearview mirror.
“Reid, wait, we have to ask the important questions,” insists Luke, whispering not too quietly.
“Ask away, Mr. Snyder, please,” Carlos says, smiling at Luke.
“How’s the transmission?”
“It’s an 8-speed sport automatic transmission.”
“How about the seatbelts? Are they easy to unclick? No chance of them getting stuck?”
Carlos looks oddly at Luke. “Uh, not that I know of.”
“Reid, what else do you want to know?” Luke asks.
Reid is pretending to steer the wheel when he looks up at Luke. “Let’s see.” He looks down between the seats. “I like the large cup holders, and there’s some extra space here for, like, a tray of food so that’s good.” He sits back in the seat and then looks at Carlos. “How far back do these seats go?”
“As far back as you want, Doctor,” Carlos answers. “And they’re multi-contour seats.”
“They’re comfy,” Reid says, pulling the lever and moving the seat back. “Luke, get in here.”
Luke nods and is halfway around the car to get into the passenger’s side when Reid stops him. “I meant in here with me,” Reid says, motioning to his lap.
“Reid.”
“Come on.”
Luke, blushing a dark shade of crimson, gets into the front seat, straddling Reid with his back against the wheel.
Reid gives him a quick kiss. “Yup, there’s enough room for the two of us.”
Carlos laughs.
Luke gets out, followed by Reid. Reid grabs his hand to keep him from walking off. “Hold on, Luke, we gotta test the back seat.”
Luke rolls his eyes. “You’re supposed to test drive the car, not the seats, Reid.”
Reid shrugs and opens the back door, moving aside so Luke can get in first.
“Or at least learn the important facts about the car,” Luke adds, sitting on the leather seat.
“This is important, Luke,” Reid says, winking at Carlos before joining Luke in the back.
This time, Reid straddles Luke and leans back. “Spacious.”
“Can you get off me now, Reid?”
“We’ll be doing a lot of that in here,” Reid says with a smirk. He then partially stands and points to the length of the seat. “Lie down.”
“Reid.”
“Luke.”
Luke lies across the seat, and Reid rests his body on top of Luke’s, both their legs slightly bent.
“Hey, these seats are long. This is a very roomy car indeed,” Reid says, getting off Luke. “Perfect.”
“So?” asks Carlos as Reid and Luke step out of the car. “What do you think?”
“It’s great for getting frisky,” Reid says, nodding enthusiastically.
Luke shakes his head. “Of course, because that’s more important than how it drives.”
“Drives? Please, Luke, everything in Oakdale is less than ten feet away. I hardly need a car,” Reid says.
“Then why are we shopping for one?” Luke asks exasperatedly.
“It’s great for other things,” Reid replies, pulling Luke towards him and kissing his cheek. He turns to Carlos. “I’ll take it.”
Carlos smiles. “Fantastic. You’re really going to enjoy it.”
Reid and Luke, hand in hand, follow Carlos back into the car dealership. “We are really going to enjoy it, aren’t we, Luke?”
Luke smiles amusingly, not able to resist Reid’s enthusiasm. “Yes, we will. Just keep it away from the train tracks, okay?”

Very nice! I love Luke being so concerned about Reid's safety [and the seatbelts! HA!] and Reid just being interested in being able to eat and have sex in the car.

Aww, yay, thanks so much for filling this! It's awesome! :)
Hee, oh Reid, he sure has his priorities straight, doesn't he? Oh, to be that salesman... It kind of hurts my heart that he'd buy such an amazing car and then go with an automatic transmission, though. :D But since the guys have other things in mind... ;)
Aww, Luke. I'm glad he's looking out for Reid. No more stuck seatbelts and train tracks in their future!

Haha...so funny.
Now you must write a companion piece that details LuRe "enjoying" Reid's new wheels.
:)
I'm fairly certain Reid WOULD drive a sexy-ass car like the one you describe, instead of the one he was shown driving on the show that didn't even have tinted windows. Heehee.
