Deli being miserable
She is.
This week isn't being wasted as far as riding time is concerned (because of my sunburn)-I wouldn't be riding anyway. It is awful in the Sacramento Valley right now. I walked a block today and I could barely breathe there was so much smoke/smog/pollution in the still air. I don't even have any kind of asthma or inhaled allergies. That coupled with the 110 degree heat today... insta-death.
I wish I could bring my girl inside my air-conditioned dark cave-of-an-apartment. As it is, when I scooted over there after work she was crusted in salt and still sweating. And covered in fly bites.
I rinsed her off with cold water, which she loved, and scratched all her itches. She played in the water for a bit, which was fun. Then I sponged her off with some water mixed with Absorbine-stuff to cool her off further and soothe her fly bites. She seemed to enjoy that too-just stood there with her lip drooping. I then put her back out to finish her dinner and sprayed the whole pasture down with fly spray.
Poor ponies.
