Well, I must say, the last two days have been refreshing, to say the least. Not only am I no longer trapped in the house, I am also finally getting back into the habit of DOING things. And hey, so today I didn't feel quite as awake as I did on Monday, but so what? I've been feeling a lot better than I've felt in a while. Actually did a little writing. Some small bits and pieces, some better ideas, some brave edits. Even a shortish essay that I actually like.
Yesterday I did a pretty cool sketch in the slot of my day known as "Theology-Spanish Drawing Time." It's where I don't listen in Theology, and then half-pay attention in Spanish while I draw! It's fun.
Actually, I've recently been toying with the idea of dropping all the classes that are extrenious to my graduation and replacing them with art classes. This would give me a total of three regular classes: English, ASB and Psychology. This actually might be a good idea, considering English is like three classes worth of stress, and I've heard that Psychology is impossible to ace... But I know I never will. Even though it is tempting to cut Biology, Math, History and Spanish, I'm afraid of hurting my Biology and History teachers, and I figure I really OUGHT to take math and Spanish... *le sigh*
Well, back to that sketch... I decided to try painting it. I got a canvas (it was cheap, but I'm happy with it - it's a *real* one this time), and bought some more paint today. Who knows when/if it will get done, but I can hope.
In minorly related news, I've decided to apply for an artistic scholarship at PLU. Actually, I can't really make up my mind which to go for, so I'm going for two (on the one hand, I was better at theater than I am at visual art, but on the other hand it's been a long time since then, and I've lost a bit of my energy). At first I wasn't going to bother because it said "faculty reccomentation required," and none of the teachers at SMA know me well in that respect... But then it turned out that the reccomendations were from the PLU faculty, based on interviews/auditions, so I decided it would be worth it.
Okay. Okay. Wait- This guy- wait, no. Okay. Okay.
