Partly because I grew up in a family that always watched the Summer Olympics...watching women's gymnastics was almost like being back with my family in high school again. Of the top of my head out of the Winter Olympic sports I'd say that Finland's good in skiing - both cross-country and Alpine skiing - sky jumping (our national hero/antihero Matti Nykänen won a lot of medals in that), figure skating, ice hockey, snowboarding and curling.
Matti Nykänen is the best ever ski jumper in the world. The man is a legend and has only become more famous after he quit sports in the nineties. He's been a singer, a stripper and he's even been in jail for aggravated assault and domestic violence. There's even a recent movie about him, but I haven't seen that.
