So it's 8:45 on a Sunday night, and I'm now sitting in the Xavierite office with nothing to do because nearly no one is here. I'm guessing my editor is too drunk and depressed right now (on account of the Bears) to even show up. I'm also realizing that even though I'm wearing my new contacts, the computer screen is blurrier than it would be without them. Hmmmm...something tells me that isn't right.
But I'm happy that I have tomorrow off! This is the first year that SXU has had MLK Jr. day off since I've gone here, and it's about time. I always hope to make days off of school Ferris Buller-esque, but they never actually turn out that way. Hey, it's fun to dream. But I need to spend some quality time with Miss Chris Scudder, as we decided on the phone today, so there will more than likely be at least one activity with her tomorrow.
Matt called me after the game tonight and left the most ignorant voice mail on my phone - I hate how sports can be made out to be a bigger deal than they have to be. It sucks that the Bears lost, I know well, but I'm willing to put money on the fact that the sun will indeed come up tomorrow.
I'm booking my ticket tomorrow for Pennsylvania, no more waiting. I think I might even get to go to the Southside parade! I was worried I'd miss it.
Well I might just leave. Something tells me my work here is done.
