My first experiment with Through the Viewfinder photography was fair to middling. They're very grainy and the resolution is for crap, but they're pretty at least. Too much light got in. I'll do better next time.

I used a Duaflex and my handy old manual SLR.

it works like so... you take a vintage twin-lens reflex camera with nice scratchy glass. In this case, a Duaflex. Then you build a column of light-blocking material that covers everything but the lenses. At the top, pointing down (for the viewfinder of those cameras point up) you put a good zoomy lens digital or manual camera.

My mistakes were making the column a couple inches too long and not light-blocking enough. Next time!
