Crisis averted.
Okay, so I got in touch with the manager, Carrol, and got things sorted out. Found out what failed re-checks, cleaned the heck out of those things, and Carrol's not going to call the cleaners on me anymore. So that's $50 I can save up for other things instead. I've got a Halloween costume I've been looking at, for instance.
And in the meantime, I was also able to go and rent the krumhorns and recorder for the medieval club's musicians' guild. They look pretty cool; now I just need to work up the breath support to make them sound good, too.
