So at the intersection of 700 north and 900 east, I got to see something of the spectrum of automotive behavior.
Starting at the northwest corner, where I crossed ninth east. A car was pulling along, turned the corner, and someone inside launched a water balloon at me. It missed my feet by about six inches. I didn't catch their license plate, which is probably a good thing, because I wouldn't have had the guts or know-how to do anything about it anyway.
I then crossed seventh north to get to the southeast corner. When I was about halfway across, a car pulled off of ninth to stop in front of me. The guy rolled down the window and offered me a ride home. I was only two and a half blocks from the apartment, so I declined.
Still ... makes you think.
