The no name pizza was a gourmet meal after the days on the road. But then there was the moose steaks thanks to doug's good aim earlyer in the week. Before that was the grouse gravy and biscuits Steve Obrian made with oakmeal cookies for the day after. A few nights before the squash fresh from the natural hot spring greenhouse in Manley, including the salmon patties caught from the Tanana river down the street. Man have i been eating good from the kindness of Alaskans. This state is a huge supermarket if you dont mind sweating for you food. It ant easy making a trail into the bush to haul out the 500lb of meat from the 1000lb moose you shot. But now that it is done you just hunker down infront of that TV eating your moose burger wile the mercury is frozen solid at 40 below zero.
