Henshin a-go-go baby!
A Viewtiful Joe anime series started this month, it's actually pretty good (or at least the first two episodes are). Go out and find the torrent, it's worth it just for the super-catch theme song.
AWA was fun for the one day I went this year. I ran into Rachel and her cosplay group early in the afternoon. I got to see Mari Iijima and Hell and Midnight Madness, plus me and Eric polished off like 2 bottles of sake and a bottle of shochu pretty much by ourselves. And we stayed up all night and snuck into the 14th floor breakfast buffet thing.
Japanfest was also fun for the 2 or so hours I was there. I saw Ridwan at the gate, volunteering, plus my Japanese teacher and both the teaching assistants were there, and I got some tonkatsu. It was a great weekend to be outside.
The weather these days is really nice, it makes me happy just driving around outside and smelling the burning leaves and crisp air.
I saw Rachel again up at school, but I had to keep truckin to get to class on time. I was pledging a frat, but I'm "too old for that shit" to take a movie cliché and so I quit, which is good cause I'm broke like a joke and need to work as much as I can, especially so I can go study abroad in Japan next summer. Oh yeah, I'm up at UGA now. I absolutely love Athens (except for the football crowds, I usually try to get out of town on the weekends).
I watched a preacher give a soapbox sermon today at Tate while I waited for the bus. It was amusing watching the kids come at him with these questions and watch him defend himself. One guy tried to shake the preacher's hand, to which the preacher replied: "Do you masturbate?" and I thought that was just golden. I believe the response was: "Not today." Also the preacher pointed at the ground and said "DOOOOOMED" so I think I'll take that as my own.
Alright kiddos, that's a good semi-annual update. Don't forget to go out and vote for Kerry on November 2.
