Ah, but you see, Ianto died, but due to the fact that he and Jack had been shagging so very much, the death was only temporary. Oh, I have logic for this hypothesis: When the Tardis was stranded in what is now Rose's universe, (aka Pete's universe), the Doctor found one tiny spark of life in the Tardis which he then proceeded to blow on, allowing the spark to take life and subsequently heal the Tardis. In, 'Cyberwoman', Jack, upon finding Ianto in need of CPR, proceeded to breathe into his mouth (and subsequently snogged him senseless). Considering that the Tardis is actually a living entity with a strong connection to the Doctor, he was able to give part of himself to save it. Now, Ianto is also a living creature with as intimate a relationship to Jack. Plus, I like to think that all that shagging provided a great deal of life force.
What? I am NOT in denial. It is perfectly rational.
Of course, I also argue that in 'HP Book 7' Remus and Tonks aren't really dead since we see events unfold from Harry's viewpoint, and he said that Remus and Tonks looked like they were sleeping. Sooo, I think that the battle was over and they needed a nap, so why not have a lie down on a pile of corpses?
