Niece-n-Nephew
At long last, I've finally met my niece and nephew, Myah and Alan. They are wonderful! Both are mature for their age and quite smart, and I kept forgetting that I wasn't interacting with short, young adults.
I was amazed at their willingness to try new things. Even adults tend to turn their noses up at "weird" foods they've never tasted before, but these two tackled every piece of sushi we put in front of them, and while they didn't like all of it, they certainly gave everything a fair shake.
Likewise, they ignored their fear of heights so they could all enjoy the CN Tower together (*including* the glass floor!), and overcame their trepidation of descending escalators to the point that by the end of the visit they were dragging us adults onto extra ones just for the fun of it.
Oh, and they're not bad at DDR. :-)
