under 40 is still pretty young and the article does not say to what degree the horizontal ridges are noral (since a fingernail is keratin layers afterall) ,

my interest in the subject came after seeing a tweet where a fur had what looked like he got done with shaving and a layer of white gunk became stuck at the cuticle end of each fingernail. It was actually kinda gross looking.

I just wish the chart better explained what one might consider as normal growth for better comparison. I cannot just google for this information and expect good results because many people wear falsies or use treatments to cover their bodies imperfections.

What about little white spots? I get those every once in a while.

a quick net search says calcium deficiency , USDA milk to me I cannot stand its taste, In Canada the companies that have milk that taste like that I simply will not buy ( like sealtest ). If your having those issues then treat yourself to some nice Penguins frozen Yogurt. ( I miss that store! )

Are you taking any additional nutrients (multivitamins/minerals)? If not, it's probably not a bad thing to think about.

most days I take a multi and my sunshine pill of Vitamin D-12 , its been a regimen for awhile and especially of late with the virus rearing its ugly head.

My mate talked to a specialist and he was told that with the winters we have our bodies do not get enough vitamin D from the sun and she recommends taking the supplement.

During the summertime I probably will forgo that vitamin but continue to enjoy my daily gummies.

Yeah, vitamin D's important in winter in particular, unless you eat food that has lots of it - but there's few foods that do. (It's one reason why I take fish liver oil capsules.)

Iron can have adverse effects if you supplement too much, but supplements you'll find on the market are very likely to be safe. Just checked, the mineral supplement I take contains 3 mg of iron, about 21% of the recommended daily intake and far below what Google suggests is the maximum safe daily dose of 45 mg.
