Meh, honestly I have everything I already need I feel, but since several people insisted since I guess I'm hard to shop for. Once again why would any one shop for me? Thats silly, besides I'm good at giving when I can but I suck horribly at recieving.
Things I need. I will be getting these for my Afgan trip unless told not to:
1, ACU field jacket. The State decided not to fund the purchase of these, so they have athorized the stateside use of the green woodland field jackets. I doubt this would fly with whoever I'm being detached to in country. Even if it did I would stick out, which is bad when snipers are about.
2, Soft armor ballistic leggings/shorts. Unfortunately these are prohibitively expencive so I plan on making my own from canibalized kevlar armor pieces. If anyone finds any deals on flack vests do let me know.
3, SUIT mount. I have a "Sight Unit Infantry Trilux". I used to have it on the L1A1 before I had to trade it for a truck that I wont need ironicaly. Unfortunately I need to get an M16 or QD rail mount for it. It is currently cammed for 7.62, but I think I posses a 5.56 cam. I will also need to find a light source as the radioactive trilux was removed for importation.
Things I want:
1, Set of current issue british dog tags. 10 GBP
2, Multicam! Multi cam is the other cammo pattern the US Army considered, and is believed by many to be the best camo pattern ever devised. Unfortunately the rear echelon adopted the current feld grau ACU digital. Wile I would like to get my paws on a pair of (BDU styled, with button cargo pockets) trousers then maybe a ACU styled jacket.
3, Cadpat! That is the Canadian Army Digital Cammo pattern. I have no pref woodland or desert, used or new. Infact I love new stuff its cheap. Unfortunately the real issue is a restricted item as it is IR treated, but the CDN govt has licenced out a civie version.
4, Non-yiff Fur art so I can take it with me.
5, Information on: AR-15 stripped lower with a custom serial, and the mfgs info small under the bolt release. I'm building a C7 look alike, but finding lowers without al kinds of markings on them are kinda rare.
6, British P-37 entrenching tool. Why must they be either rare or expencive? *cries*
7, HUMVEE, or a HEMMT, or a CUCV, or a Landrover, or even a Jeep! Who am I kidding. In two months I'll be on a foriegn continent why on earth do I want a car let alone a military rig. I may as well as for a PT boat and a destroyer wile I'm at it, lol!
