I am SOOOO LUCKY! The 16 hour duty on friday? They pretty much let me go at like 9pm until 6am when I had to be back for the change of duty. WHHEEEE!!! ^_^ Although....since I had to be there by 6am, that meant waking up at 5am and I was so nervous about not waking up on time that I kept waking up at like 3am and then 4am and then finally 5am....so I was still sleepy. *winces* I'm an idiot.
Monday I had another duty, this time in Neurosurgery instead of General Surgery and I actually got to see some interesting stuff....well interesting for me but probably not for the persons involved.^_^ There was someone with a shot to the head...who was actually still alive and stable if you can believe that. Then there was a boy who had a motorcycle accident, he had like 4 different cranial fractures and subdural and epidural hematomas all around his head. He was 14 and was driving it without a helmet. *sighs* People....14 year old boys should NOT be driving motorcycles....and NO ONE should be driving them without a helmet. *frowns* The ironic part? His grandmother had actualy bought the motorcycle for him....but not the helmet...*winces*
