Ah, little lad, you're staring at my fingers. Would you like me to tell you the little story of right-hand/left-hand? The story of good and evil? H-A-T-E! i'm unsympathetic and not a huge a-rod girl (although i find him attractive etc.), but trust me, i doubt a-rod is fretting about what the daily news or the post is saying about him now, regardless if it's blatantly screaming that he's a bad teammate. please lupe, he's on his private beach. should i feel bad the press is being especially hard on him now regardless? i suppose so, but i don't. bah.
maybe i'm just bitter that the real a-rod didn't show up (among VARIOUS others; i'm not singling anyone out) for the last four games of the series, but as i said on bobc, i have a hard time sympathizing with these men who the press is trashing. it's not nice or anything like that, but the media will be the media, and "A-ROD ISN'T A GOOD TEAMMATE" and the like screams juicy and interesting articles.

as long as we're talking grains of truth in the ny press, joel sherman also called rodriguez the most sensitive, aware athlete he's encountered in decades. exaggeration? maybe. but it's at least as true as madden calling him friendless. i think no amount of money makes anyone less vulnerable, but that must be the infp talking.
i also know they do what they do to sell papers - i'm still entitled to my annoyance. frankly i think if they're gonna go on a vilification tear, the whole team needs to be included for not bothering to show up the last three games. where are the editorials railing against torre for probably the most brutal mismanagement of his career? and against mel for doing shit to help javier? hmph.
