triumph of several varieties!
First! I finished and posted the Enormous Secret Mutant Beast of Doom. Good heavens. I hope the person for whom it is intended likes it--and likes Very Long Fic--is all I can say. (Actually I think, based on what I know of this person's tastes, it will be liked; but I definitely used the prompt as more inspiration than concrete foundation...)
Second! Awesome Husband got an unexpected extra birthday present--performance bonus of quite generous nature at work! We also, at his work Christmas party, won a raffle prize that included a $50 gift card to a decent restaurant, so. Date night! (And first wedding anniversary tomorrow! *happiness*)
Third! Apartment finally all fixed and looking liveable at last! We have an upstairs bathroom again! Except they got paint on our shower curtain while repainting the wall. But that's kind of okay, because now I have an excuse to buy a new one; the old one's kind of boring anyway. (Though less boring with a large white streak across it, now...)
