random tidbits?
I haven't really made a non-fic post in a while, have I? I don't know why, but I have a random urge to know you all better, or let you know me, or something (is it because I'm sick? it is, isn't it? or it would be, if this were literature, some sort of symbolic response), so, five things I'm thinking about at the moment, no particular order...
1. strawberry > vanilla > chocolate (but neapolitan > all) (but if you've got strawberry/vanilla swirl that wins over everything)
2. I unironically like Matchbox 20's first album (Yourself Or Someone Like You) (Yes, I know. Look, I've never claimed to be cool.)
3. I firmly believe that Hope Mirrlees' Lud-in-the-Mist is one of the finest fantasy novels ever written. (Go forth and read it! Please.)
4. I've been to...seven other countries, outside of the United States, which is where I technically live, being in California and all. (That's seven assuming that England/Scotland/Wales counts as one, Ireland counts separately, the Vatican counts as part of Italy, and four hours in an airport in Japan doesn't count at all)
5. this moment from last night, after Awesome Husband and I went shopping for gifts for my nephew and came home with a Lego construction set, a Lego Heroica "board" game, and Lego Batman 2 for the PS3, all for us:
Awesome Husband: *looks at bag* *looks at me* *sighs*
Me: what?
Awesome Husband: ...we're Lego's whores.
6. okay, maybe I am a tiny bit worried about this being sick thing; can it stop now?
