So I forgot my sunglasses, realized the fact when halfway to campus, didn't bother to go back, and now have a very annoying headache that's partly my own fault. Fail. Anyway, have the sequel to the One With The Mistletoe! Well, part one. Part two, just for length reasons, in next post.

learning each other’s warmth in the dark
Such beautiful wording :) It feels intimate and loving and supportive and quietly sexy all at once.
All that exuberant hair fell into his eyes, bright against the cool grey morning and the untidy snowdrifts of the hotel sheets
I could feel the cold. On a day when my local weather has decided to flip the bird at "winter" and trot out the summer heat (well not really since it's only 75 not 105...) Basically, your imagery is transportive!

And thank you for this: It feels intimate and loving and supportive and quietly sexy all at once. That's what I was aiming for--intimacy without (at least not yet) the sex, showing them really building that relationship. And THEN they can have the sex. But I love the idea that the intimacy comes first, and that they can sleep beside each other and NOT have the sex right away. :-)
We all know how much I like the setting-as-reflection-of-character, right? :-p ...and Michael's worry is definitely being picked up by the chilly air. But later there is friendly hotel-room light, making the space all warm and cozy. So hopefully the cuddly feelings translate, too? *grin*
Also, I definitely sympathize--being in SoCal, we so rarely get real winter, at all! I think it was in the 70s today, here, too. I want some wintery rain, darn it! :-)

Actually, I go to school in SoCal. Yup, it was 70s. I would be so more productive if I didn't feel like basking for an hour whenever I step outside... ah well, that's what lab is for I suppose.

Also, hooray, I can distract you with adorableness! Shall take this as success. :-p
You do? Whereabouts? I grew up in Ventura, but am teaching out in the Inland Empire. Yay, smog. :-/

I usually don't have a problem with my contacts and the smog, but Awesome Husband does; he switches to glasses after he gets home from work, most of the time. (Though, actually, his allergies got BETTER after we moved here--so strange!) I miss the ocean, though (says the former lifeguard...)
