Jun 14, 2013 12:44

I leave for New York tomorrow! ~all the excitement~ But FIRST. Some fic. Here's a little timestamp I wrote for the McFassy Epic Universe, by request; here is also the AO3 link to the McFassy hurt/comfort domestic happiness that significantowl and I coauthored! Which was wonderful, and surprisingly easy, because she is brilliant. Also werewolf fic later today ( Read more... )

anniversary celebrations, timestamps, marvelous coauthors, universe of porn!, fic: james/michael, hurt/comfort

Both absolutely fantastic, just as they had been when I first read them on Tumblr. Lovely and wonderful.

Have fun in New York! Don't forget us while you're gone! :)

Thank you, love! and thanks for the re-read! :-) I did like getting to see what they'd be up to: still happy, still kinky, still so in love. And the co-authoring was surprisingly easy--and I love how it came out! It felt like we were pretty in sync (not the band) with how we saw it unfolding, and I think our writing styles mesh fairly well. :-)

I'll have the internet--we're being hosted at NYU, so all the amenities. I may be busy, but I'll try to at least be around in the mornings or before bed! Plus I get to finish off the Epic Round Robin Fic of Awesome...

There are several of my fics where I have tidbits of info of what happened before and after the fic. I think there's several fics that each have a different "how they go together" back story, even if it doesn't come up in the fic itself. Those kinds of things are fun to think about.

I think my cousin lives near NYU, if I remember correctly (she and I don't talk often, I mostly just keep up with her life via facebook)

They're absolutely fun to think about! That's how I know something's a good story, I think: if I have a "life" for the characters outside and around the story I've told, in my head. Any good tidbits about your McFassy fic? :-)

I have a cousin-in-law who's out here. I think I may try to have lunch with him on Thursday. Wednesday is Museum Day. :-)

It depends on the fic, really. Um, the one I wrote for you recently: "You've got the love" I imagined as taking place in the mpreg Michael fic verse (which might eventually turn into the D/s verse instead) where they've been friends since Band of Brothers and they'd seen each other other times besides the Vespa incident, Michael was there for James during some rough times, and working on XMFC together just made that friendship stronger, but it's not until about a month or so after the press junket for XMFC that James asks Michael out on a date. Michael proposes shortly before they start filming DOFP (I imagine that happening one night while he's trying to take care of tired James who's thrown his all into Macbeth and is still so enthusiastic about doing the play and Michael just can't imagine not being married to him for all that) and they've not really told many people yet (their families, Jen and the Sirs know obviously, but not many other people know yet because they don't want to announce it until closer to the wedding and away ( ... )

This sound absolutely adorable. I also quite like the idea of it being the mpreg Michael verse--or, actually, a sub!Michael verse--because then you still get him being the one to propose, so he's not being feminized at all--he's initiating the relationship. If that makes sense. And I can also see them not wanting to announce it during publicity for the film--they both care so passionately about their work, and they'd want it to be about that, not their personal lives. <3

I guess I worry about mixing the D/s with mpreg, since majority of people still tend to dislike mpreg and I know there are a couple other people besides me who'd like to see a D/s verse with sub!Michael. I'd hate to keep them from reading simply because I included something I know people don't like. Though a lot of the stories would take place pre-pregnancy. Could set it as a series, that way the mpreg is only in that particular bit and not the rest ( ... )
