if she was in pain,
she had better training hiding
what tore at her ceaselessly
than he, with his heart on his sleeve
bleeding so profusely.
"i can't tie that off,"she said
"you can't let it all out,
there lies death."
was independence possible?
"grow up, pick it off the floor,
it could use a good dusting."
how does she stay so strong
doesn't she need someone?
"pfft.
someone missed the 60's"
ahhh!
he wasnt even born yet
"ooooh,
you fucking know what i mean!"
pffft.
so do you. we hadn't met.
their eyes filled with tear gas
their mouths were in a scowl
they both ignored what had past
and planned to take a plow
to the soil that needs tilling
so those roots could have some ground
she knew his food was filling
he just had to climb that mound
"i bet you think your clever,
innuendos, puns, and outright lies,
you could never make it out without me
you never could survive."
she was absolutely right, he knew
she spoke nothing but the truth
when she spat it was not like poison,
but love potion rum that soothed.
"there you go again. A metaphor?
A simile for my tooth?
i tell ya sweetheart, it ain't sweet,
you know nothing of the truth.
i wouldve done anything for you
i wouldve scaled the globe-"
he did scale it,out and through,
and found home was what he knows.
