Old friends you string along...mrcarpartsMarch 8 2005, 02:18:22 UTC
I "feel your comment" 5 Years ago.. I sold my 1963 Fender Precision Bass, as I felt much the same way.. "It should be played". I bought it in '78 at a pawn shop in Anchorage for $75 WITH an Amp, and played it for YEARS, in a dozen or so bands. I sold it for much more, but I WAS happy to see it go to the new owner who is a blues / jazz musician locally. At least I know were it is now.. If *I* get the blues... ;o)
Yeah, ya gotta pay but...with all our other projects...and he's a local guy.
I will let you know in the next day or two if we think we are up to the challenge. You gotta admit,he's got a nice system, and we want to hook two together.
On another note, gonna try to yank out my heather by the weekend, so there will be more space for da sheeeeeeeet where the marionberry vine will go.

it just depends how you build it yourself, if you have the time and effort, then no. Basically, it just needs to be completely sealed from the outside, no mosquitoes. So that means cutting good holes for putting in the spigot, and how you attach to the drainpipe. Or you can get mosquito rings to go in the tank, but I don't want to do that, myself. MrCarParts has an AWESOME one he made himself. Gutter crap and mosquitoes are just items that you tackle making your own. =)
I just know I don't have the skill, or the time right now to try to get it right. I don't want to screw it up.

Thats quite the nice setup he has there.. I might steal some of his design for my second barrel duct work. As far as mosquitos go.. I have not had any trouble with them in the 4 years I have had my barrel set up.

like I said, your system kicks butt!
He does have a nice one, huh. It almost looks like overkill, but the winter bypass valve looks great, and the filter seems like a good idea since we don't even have a ladder yet that lets us get to parts of the roof to clean gutters as often as we should.
