Momoko & Pippin

May 04, 2008 20:06

Today, Jason and I took our first visit to a local Japanese gift store and tea room called Momoko.
It was a very tiny place, but it was packed with so many cute things!
And their tea and bubble tea selection was the biggest I've ever seen. They had so many cool flavor combinations! Jason and I got one called Midnight Blue that was a mixture of vanilla and blueberry. It tasted amazing.
Next time I think I'll be brave and try the rose flavored bubble tea.

I picked up a few small nick-knacks while I was there, and plan to go back as often as I can (if nothing else for the bubble tea). My only complaint was that everything was a bit overpriced and their Sanrio selection was, sadly, very small.
On the positive side, they did have beautiful porcelain geisha dolls, tons of stickers and stationary, and quite a few very unique decorative items.
I still need to take photos of the things I bought (sorry!); I'll post them tomorrow.

We also gave Pippin a bath and a trim this weekend, so I snapped a few new photos. I had to spend about an hour trimming little matted areas of out his fur. Unfortunately, he manages to get his fur matted beyond what brushing can get out, even though I brush him every night.
Shih Tzus are such sweet, easygoing dogs, but be prepared to spend a lot of time grooming one if you ever get one. It seems as if he's done growing and will remain at 12 pounds, which is pretty small for a male Shih Tzu! He has the cutest long eyelashes.
(The look on his face in the bottom-right one cracks me up, haha! He looks like he's saying, "Ahem, alright. Enough pictures."
)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
I know a few of you are traveling away from home right now--I wish you a safe and wonderful time on your vacation! For the rest of us, back to work tomorrow!
