Doug Savant Report
I met chivenger and went to the Doug Savant/pizza thing. It was crowded but not mobbed. We stood in line to get a slice and talk to him. A woman in front of us started hopping up and down like crazy when it was her turn to talk to him and all the news and pizza co. cameras suddenly appeared and started filming. Too cute.
When it was our turn, we told him that we were fans of Firefly and appreciated his work. He said he liked the show and was like yeah, it has quite a following. We mentioned our Browncoat group here in Chicago and that we had sent out the word about his appearance. And then chivenger, who quotes this line all the time, finally got to ask the appropriate person, "Have you ever been with a warrior woman?" Doug laughed and said "I wish." Overall, he was very gracious.
Only bummer was that neither of us had a camera and that my Cappy Head signed by Summer and Nathan was at home. (I think I'm going to bring it to my office just in case of occasions like these.) And that vampirefan couldn't join us.
