Oh wow wow wow. My friend Kevin, who I haven't actually spent time with since my sophmore year of high school, we reconnected on Saturday and went to an art show in the park. IT was fantastic. We talked, got food, walked around and talked, sat on a dock and talked - he even bought me with wonderful bottecap necklace with the movie The Graduate on it. It's difficult to explain these bottlecap charms... there where MILLIONS of them. ANYTHING you could think of, dream of, current tv shows, old tv shows, 60's, 70's, 80's, Sailor Moon, music, movies, words, anything... was on a bottlecap. There wasn't any grainy computer printout pictures, either. They where all from magazine clippings, books, cards, ect. ect. They where amazing. 10 dollars for one - and it came with a chain. I had a 20, and I handed it to the lady and she asked if I had any smaller bills. Kevin whipped out his wallet and said "Oh, i'll pay for it." I said "No, you don't have to do that!" He said "No I want to, I haven't seen you in forever!" He's such an awesome friend. We hadn't seen eachother and talked for years, but we finally reconnected on facebook, met up cause he's in town until October, and when we did it was like we were old friends again. It was great, one of the best days i've had recently. I told him about my future plans and he told me about his. We where both proud of each other, but we also shared some sad stories as well. Kevin also introduced me to a show I had heard of many times before, but never watched. He borrowed me the whole first season. (He also has the second) Upon watching the whole series (the first two episodes with him and the rest on my own) AND THEN re-watching with my parents, I have to say: I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW.

Two words:
PUSHING DAISIES.

Anyway, my time with Kevin was great, it makes my heart so happy to be able to talk to him again, we were really good friends in my freshman year and it was his senior. So glad we're hanging out again. I'm also doing fantastic on my GED prep - so fantastic that if all goes well i'll be able to start College in September! That means another inch closer to my dream. :) Thank God life is finally turning around. I am now a firm beliver in fate. God never puts you anywhere you wern't meant to be. He has a plan.

P.S. Regarding what happened at capslock_beatle today, I regret very little and have nothing much to say on the matter except what has already been said in posts and comments of mine. I can't please everybody, but the people I have pleased are happy. I look to the future of the community and not the past. Sorry if anyone was hurt along the way, but it's really what needed to be done. I though the community wasn't like other Beatles communites, because I thought people didn't take everything seriously - and honestly thought would get a kick out of what happened. By the way, I didn't invite the "trolls", I merley suggested they take a visit because I thought it might be funny and everyone there would laugh. Like I said, I guessed wrong. The community was not what I thought it was. The members getting so upset over somthing as small as rules for the betterment of the community. So with that said, i'm ready to look forward and enjoy the community again. I'm not going to let stupidity on the internet get me down or make me angry. I'm bigger than that.

fandom is so serious lol, pushing daisies, life is looking up, life, mini-rant, re-connections, dreams, school, capslock_beatle, college, bottlecap charm necklaces, life plans, no regrets, old friends, i love the pie maker
