If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Wouldn't it make a sound regardless of who was there to... Doesn't this book ask any worthwhile questions? Geeze...

The koan is a question that is not meant to be answered. There is a paradox to be certain, but it is meant to be meditated on, not solved.
