I found something interesting in one of the books tucked in the back of the library. For once, I think this is something that would be pretty interesting for all of us to do. So I don't mind Haruhi is making me announce it on the network this time.

It basically goes like this: I'll read a short story from this book, and you as the audience decides ( Read more... )

haruhi is making me do this, keep him away from books, haruhi, psychology time, koizumi, guilt test, koizumi what do you think

I suppose it would end as:

Prince, King, Princess, Bull.

And why do you say that?

The Prince, in his own selfishness, forced his will onto those around him, which the King allowed. The Princess, set in her own ways, would surely cause sadness for those around her by running. And the Bull was kind enough to put her out of her misery.

...Kind enough to put her out of her misery. Is that really how you view the situation?

It's effective reasoning. In this story, there are various factors that are never confirmed. As such, I can easily pretend that said bull was sentient, since the story never states it is not a fantasy setting.

But you act like the Princess deserved to die.

Since it's never confirmed, I can say this: The Princess used what little sway she held over her father to launch brutal campaigns of conquest over the land. In a quick moment of sanity, he gave her away to the Prince, to save his kingdom of her cruelty.

Would that make her deserving of death, in your view?

[.............................]

Nobody really deserves to die.

This is already a matter of opinion, is it not?

You asked me if it made her more deserving of death in my view and I answered.

It's an old opinion. And an unoriginal one at that.

Most opinions are old and unoriginal.

Which is why most people tend to put their own spin on them.

And even those personal spins are old and unoriginal.

Therefore, the jumble of opinions one can find in a person are more interesting.

Not really.
