[ XXXV | Audio ]

I found something interesting in one of the books tucked in the back of the library. For once, I think this is something that would be pretty interesting for all of us to do. So I don't mind Haruhi is making me announce it on the network this time.

It basically goes like this: I'll read a short story from this book, and you as the audience decides ( Read more... )

haruhi is making me do this, keep him away from books, haruhi, psychology time, koizumi, guilt test, koizumi what do you think

So the order is in most guilty, but not who would feel most guilty?

Bull, Princess, King, Prince.

That's what it says--I guess because those two mindsets would spur two different sets of answers.

Care to explain your reasoning?

Simple, if it's not about who should feel guilty.

The bull is most guilty because it actually killed her. There is no way around it, it killed, thus is guilty of it. The princess is second because she ignored the warnings. The king is third because he married her off when she protested, the prince is last because all he did was marry her, no one told him no. He's the most passive person in the affair.

I guess if you look at it that way, you'd be right. Although I'm not sure if this thing has a a "right answer" page.

Although I disagree about the Prince being the most passive. Depending on whether or not Celestine actually told the Prince she didn't love him, he could have decided not to ask for her hand in marriage. He could have prevented this whole thing.

That's an outside factor not offered in the story, thus irrelevant. Based on the list of events, as stated, he was the least involved. The only thing he did was ask for her hand.

He also tried to consummate the marriage. That's what apparently made the Princess flee the castle, isn't it?

Which is normal to do after being married, nothing says he forced himself on her, she simply fled when he tried.

Although I agree it's normal to do, it's still what caused her to flee.

I would still say that was her choice. In all her actions, she has not directed anything at him. We can assume that he was acting without any knowledge she disproved.

It was her choice--just like it was the king's choice to choose royal protocol over his daughter's feelings.

It's his job as a ruler to adhere to the rules of his kingdom. However, it's also his job as a parent to care for and protect his daughter.

Which is why he is to blame after the princess.

So you're saying he made the wrong choice?

I'm saying his actions were next on what cause the situation.
