"I didn't know you were allergic to pie!"
My dad gave me a bag of honey-lemon throat lozenges when I visited him today. I normally keep a bag of lozenges in my briefcase when I work at KRCC in cases of having a cold or not getting enough sleep. Unfortunately, I ran out a month ago and forgot to buy more.
My voice is coming back slowly but surely. I'm still gargling with salt water and I bought a box of green tea bags this morning. I don't know if I'll recover it completely before Friday, when I'm scheduled to give my Toastmasters introductory speech. If not, I'll have to postpone it another week and possibly find substitutes at KRCC this weekend.
Next year, I'm either driving myself or flying to Furry Fiesta instead of using Greyhound. Spending 15-16 hours in a car with myself (or 1 or 2 other people) or 2-3 hours on a plane with about 100 people is much better than spending 15-16 hours on a bus with 100 people.
