The laptop repairman said my laptop's monitor stayed on for him. He said the lever which automatically dims the screen when the laptop is closed may have gotten stuck. He didn't charge me since he didn't have to do any work on the laptop, so that's another expense I don't have to worry about. I ordered an adapter that can display my laptop's screen contents on a television in case I have any more problems. I feel like a parent whose child was sent to the hospital for swine flu symptoms, but it turns out the kid only had a bad head cold.
(UPDATE: I think the screen going dark may be caused by a worn out AC adapter. This happened once before, where constantly bending the cord caused the top part to only work in certain positions. I may need to order a new one soon.)
I had breakfast this morning at the
R&R Coffee Cafe in Black Forest (near Black Forest and Burgess roads.) In addition to great food, they have live music every Saturday. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great, reasonably-priced breakfast (or dinner on Fridays) without the chain-restaurant atmosphere. I call it breakfast therapy.
(I wanted to upload the videos I took on my cell phone, but my phone says the videos exceed the maximum amount of memory. I filmed the live music: A man and three boys performing bluegrass music.)
