I miss the ocean.
We got spontaneous this evening after feeding the girls their dinner, the clouds were beautiful, multi-layed and an awesome sunset looked promising so we hopped in the car and drove down to the beach but the marine layer ruined it. Still beautiful overhead though. I rolled down the window and breathed the sea air in. One wave hit a rock so hard it smacked a piece of kelp up in the air. The sea haze was like a lullaby. The lighthouse flickering in, out. Then Alice started crying and cried all the way home until we got her out of her carseat and showed her "the baby in the mirror." She popped another tooth yesterday. I think there's another one that's not too far behind.
