Things Are Changing

Today I cleared out my favorites folder in Firefox today, Harry Potter links fell out in one clean sweep, 80% of my MLP links did as well, I think about a third of them were dead links anyway. The ever-shrinking Pokémon folder also took a hit, and the main folder itself... Well, it needed cleaned as well.

Not only has my life changed, but those things I once treasured as well. I still like Harry Potter, but it appears as though I'm not as enthused as I used to be. Deathly Hallows caused tears to stream down my face in its twilight chapters, of course it doesn't mean I remove my Gryffindor pin from my purse, or not vie for a gryffindor jacket that hangs in hot topic currently. The hoodie's striped, and striped sleeve material pokes out the cuff. I love it so.

But, no less, I'm not nearly the fan I once was, even though I likely have more to show for it now than I did. There's still that little metal bookmark collection that I got from Wal*Mart at Christmas. Damn the movie, it was Fullscreen, but no less I got my little bookmarks. That makes me happy.

Star Wars has also, sadly, taken a backseat until Pokémon Journey finishes up, mainly because if I get back into Star Wars again, it's safe to assume my brain would once again become consumed by it, and the Legacy project would be alive once more. I still plan on doing it but... Not right now.

My Little Pony has to be the biggest change, I have essentially dropped out of collecting, I don't check my sites anymore, and haven't for nearly a year. I didn't know that Ponytopia closed down (sad, because it was the best Gen3 collection site there was), or that Colormist had moved her site, and that Collectors site hasn't been updated since March '07. It's funny how things changed and you don't bother noticing. Soon I'll be sending a portion of my collection, and almost all my baits, to Ebay to be auctioned off. Part of me hates to, they've been a part of my life since I was young, but another part of me is glad to see the clutter go.

My emo/goth days are certainly gone, not saying I won't eventually tip my hair in cotton candy or hot pink for the sake of LOVING pink (or if someone finds a delicious mint green, I'd do that too), or get a wig by the wonderful artisans of Petting Zoo. I still enjoy my anime and mangas, and brighter colors have entered my previously dark world.

Essentially, I'm happier, and I think it's because... I have a future. A goal, a plan, whatever it may be, I have it now. Even if it's because I've signed up for the military for six years... That's six years of guaranteed pay! Never in my life have I had that, for jobs are so scarce in my area... It's a blessing, really.

On another note, my goals before leaving for bootcamp are these:

Loose 15 pounds. ;w; I don't want to be 140 pounds when I go, I'm not used to being this weight. I don't like this weight. I want to be small again like last year!

Learn to crochet, because... Crocheting is awesome. 83

LEARN. TO. SEW. MUST DO. Thus why Mistress Mel has been tossed on my friendslist, I want to learn from her expertise, if only by viewing her goods. ^w^

See Tyler and Sam before I go, and maybe Lyla as well. Hopefully Kerri, too, I'd like to finally meet Kerri.
