Live Writer
So my brand new laptop came in yesterday, and maan is it wonderful. I mean like, crazy wonderful. While I didn’t go for the top-of-the-line processor, she still has a pretty darn good processor, and a slightly better graphics card than your run-of-the-mill laptop. Also I paid a pretty penny, but hey, I needed a good laptop. Starshot says he’s going to get me to play WoW now. o_O oh nooez.
Did I mention it came with Windows 7? YES, I HAVE UPGRADED! So far I really do like Windows 7. Such as this post? Wrote with a program called Live Writer, which syncs up with your blog of choice, downloads the necessary plug-ins and layout, and bam! You can now update without the hassle of getting on the website and signing in, as well as “preview” your layout as you go. Well, it’s like a half-preview, as the one I currently have set (A PREMADE? :C THE HORRO-okay it’s actually very nice) is a little off. Still, I can preview the fonts, colors, and things. Phwee!
There is, however, a few quirks, like how the AIM buddy window and Skype will not truly close, rather they minimize to the toolbar, but I figure this’ll either be eventually fixed, or there will be some work-around made in time for it. It’s not major, either. Oddly, Yahoo doesn’t do that. So far, only AIM and Skype.
Mentioning Skype, I HAVE A WEBCAM NOW. It’s only 1.3mp, but it’s still a webcam which I haven’t had in some years. So yay for that. Will there be pictures soon? Perhaps. Perhaps not, remember people I am incredibly camera-shy. (Which is odd, given how loud and hyper I am.)
Now, as per my data… I have everything already on this laptop but music (didn’t save to the portable hard drive for whatever reason-I blame iTunes) and my bookmarks. I will eventually get both, but probably not until Saturday.
Which brings me to something else; HEART GOLD AND SOUL SILVER, PEOPLE! OH MY GAWD~ OMG. SRSLY. WOOOOOOOOOO! I could cheer for forever. My friends and I are totally stoked like you wouldn’t believe. <3 I still haven’t figured out the starter, though. >>’ Normally it’d be “GO GRASS GO!” but since it’s a remake, doesn’t actually hold true. I’ll probably go with Totodile or something, I loove Totodile, I already have a Chikorita (thanks Kitsune) and my friends I know will hit up Cyndaquil, so I can just trade for offspring. Yaay Offspring! That, or pick it when I beat XD again. I have the cable set-up, I just need the GBA. I’m sure someone I know has a GBA I can borrow.
Anyway, I’m gonna wrap up this post, as I have to shower, eat, get some rest, and get ready for work tonight and tomorrow night. Then I’m off again until Tuesday. <3 I’m so thankful for my job. Thanks God, you rock! <3
