Offices are interesting...

Ok, so sorry about my last post, I was just angry and pissy. I'm better now. I finally got my PC at work (it's taken all week for them to put in an order for me, so I've been bored out of my mind filing and shit...urgh). But anyway, I'm back with all my old pals at GE, so things are good.

Wasting time at work is fun. I decided to share some funny and odd things that have happened this week at the office.

1) So since I was stuck filing all week, I pretty much made best friends with the large rows of filing drawers along the rows of cubicles on the National Processing floor that I am on. Behind me there's a small cabinet area where people come up from the second floor to drop of what they call live checks so we can process them. Well they have to drop them off at this desk and sign in and it happens to be right behind where I am filing RV owner certificates and invoices and such. Fun right? Well my friend Lisa said she was walking up from downstairs and was following this one guy who was coming up to drop off one of these live checks. She said while he was signing out the check he stopped and stared at my ass while I was hunched over a cabinet, unknowing of this unwanted attention I was getting. She said his mouth was gaping and everything and the best part was that she caught him doing it and he saw that she had caught him and he like freaked out and ran away. The bad part was that he is a creepy old guy who is MARRIED. Quality right? I wish she had said something to him like "Nice view eh?"

2) I get 2 15 minute breaks during my grueling 7:30am-4pm shift and a half hour for lunch. During my breaks I like to go out with Lisa and Lena and walk around outside. The cool thing about where I work is that the office building is in this prairie restoration area...yea that doesn't make a lot of sense to have an office park in a restoration area, but whatever. There's nice peaceful paths and a huge pond that has pretty flowers and lily pads all over; you just have to zone out the distant roar or 1-90. But yes, the coolest part is that there's a giant swan nest along the path by the pond and the other day when we were walking the mom swan got up because her eggs were hatching! I got to see the live birth of these pretty swans, well with the dad swan (we named him King Knob and the girl Erma) hissing at us and about to bite our heads off. So yesterday I brought my camera to take pictures of the new little ugly ducklings. So precious...I think I will bring my camera every wednesday all summer to photograph their life each week to see how much they change. It'll keep me amused. I'll post some photos on here later as well.

3)Boy drama. For some odd reason one of my co-workers is obsessed with setting me up with this guy that works down in facilities. He's pretty cute, but I'm just not interested in dating right, especially someone here because I'm going back to school in August. I mean I'd date someone if i was like WOW, but yea you know. I want to work out more and look better, regain some self-confidence that I had lost over the year by gaining weight before I even think of guys dating me. If I'm not happy with myself, then I won't be happy dating someone because I'll constantly be worrying what I look like and such. That actually happened a lot in all my past relationships, so it's good to work on me right now. So yea, guys are just not the right thing right now.

Well that's a brief update of how things are at the office.

Tonight I am going home to Milwaukee. I am going to hang out with Becky and stuff all night. I am pretty excited, I haven't seen her since January! It'll be good times, we're going to drink, go out and have a bonfire probably. Mmmm bonfires!

I miss everyone from Eau Claire already, but I'll be back there next weekend to move from my apartment to my new house with Justin and Cory (so psyched for that)!! I can't believe that a lot of my friends have graduated already...it's totally unfair. I will miss them.

Have a good long weekend everyone!
