and another entry about a song i cant stop listening too....
this time its about the song 'heaven's a lie' by lacuna coil...now i know what some of u might be thinking, "why am i, a christian, listening to a song kalled heaven's a lie" and ill answer that, if u look into the song and listen and read the lyrics, the song isnt talking about there being no heaven and everyone being damned and that buisness...not at all..instead a song of i guess declaring her faith..this is my interpretation and mine alone, u can think whatever u want of the song: the first verse talks about everything being wrong and nothing working out and then she says "I didn't really notice that you've been here" , im not trying to turn this song into a 'god song' or anything, but still...i think that that line is talking about god, and how he/she is always with us. the chorus "set me free, your heaven's a lie, set me free with your love, set me free" my belief about this is that they're saying that the belief of heaven to be a given thing, that its automatic isnt true, that u dont just live, die, go to heaven, that its more than that. not to be evangelistical or overbearing with religion, but that u have to live the best christian life and ask forgiveness for your sins and that buisness to go to heaven.also the part about 'set me free with your love', god loves us, and forgives us with that love, i believe its saying that god sets us free from our sins with his love. part of the second verse: "I need to know, why did I choose to betray you,Something wrong, with all the plans in my life, i didn't really notice that you've been here" i think talks about how god has un-conditional forgiveness/grace, that u kan turn away, then ceom back and he'll still be there for you. but yeah, this is all my interpretation about the song, if u think differently about it, ok...and sorry if i sound like a holy roller, i know its not usually my style to go ranting and raveing about my religious beliefs, but every once and again it comes out again...
