Was bored and the sun rune seemed to think the monsters left the town so I decided to look around a bit.

Well... I'm hardly an interesting fellow. Just a tired Astartes.

I don't think this is a good place to sleep. Maybe you should go to your house.

[lunawolves10th]

I won't actually sleep, you know. I only need to do that once a week for about 30 minutes.

Are you some sort of golem then? I know brother had a lot of strange people in his army....

No. I am Astartes... we are humans, only we have been technologically enhanced in various ways.

[solarhussyalert]

So you're telling me that gears make it so you don't have to sleep. Are you sure its not just some crazy rune or something?

[ Garviel glares at her. ]

There is no sorcery in what I do at all! We were created with science alone.

But no... not gears... our bodies were modified on a genetic level. The science is far more complex than it is in a place like this town.

You make it sound like magic is bad. Well, some of the runes are bad, but only the really powerful ones. People can be bad but tools... That's a bit odd.

Magic is corrupting... I have seen it turn my gene-father to heresy and betrayal, one of my soldiers into a Daemon... and embroil the entire galaxy in the flames of a civil war, as humanity destroys itself.

Only the true runes do that, and only if you're desperate or dumb enough to try and wear one without hits binding runes. Or you're Harmonia and trying to get them all... I still don't know why they even want them but I'm sure when I get back home I'll have to deal with them.

[ Garviel just scowls silently. ]

EVERYBODY has... Their emperor was collecting true runes and trying to take over the world... Till he just stopped. But that was a long LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago. Then they lost their capitol when the Scarlet Moon Empire broke off, that wasn't so long ago.
