Action one: Locked to 2237 and 2236 Stevens: [ At the beginning of the zombie invasion, Garviel bursts out the front door of his house, howling.... ] I... am... CERBERUS! [ Utterly maddened, a screaming chainsword in hand, the space marine looks for foes to slay. ]

[ Oh no.... Garviel sights on her, and waits. He wants to make sure before he gives her the Emperor's mercy. ]

[Her voice, when it responds, is even raspier than usual]

[ Silence, for a moment, and then the bolter shifts aim slightly. ]

I can show you mercy. I am sorry that I cannot save you in another way.

[notawhale]

I suppose... opening that tin can and giving me a bite to eat... is out of the question?

[Just... shambling on over]

We both know the answer to that.

[ He fires, once. All the regret in the world doesn't stop him from doing what he knows he must do, even though every time he kills a human or a once-human eats away at him, just a bit. ]

[notawhale]

[Unfortunately, some of the shambling was an act, and her reflexes let her move as soon as he starts to fire. It still blows an arm clean off at the shoulder, but it's not exactly the fatal wound he probably intended. It doesn't slow her down either as she dashes towards him.]

[ Garviel is ready for the charge, though the speed is disconcerting. He lowers the bolter right-handed, and swings his left fist out with enough force to dent a tank, aiming a punch at her midsection. He does this in silence, except for the whirring of his armor.

[notawhale]

[She tries to dodge to the side, the blow hitting her side and making her spin instead of just sending her flying. Her remaining hand manages to catch on his armor and pull her towards him despite now having some severely cracked ribs to go with that missing arm. Using her hold for leverage, she pulls herself to knee him in the side.

Yeah, that's gonna to JACK SHIT to his power armor.]

[ He looks down at her form, grappled to his in an obscene embrace of battle. He will try to clamp his left arm around her, as if holding her to his chest, and his right arm raises the bolter, then brings it down, looking to crush her skull in with the sheer weight of the rough metal weapon. ]

[Yeah, there's... pretty much nothing she can do about it. It's actually pretty pathetic how little threat she ever posed to him.

Her skull starts to crack pretty easily, especially with a preexisting fracture from the knife... she stops trying to gnaw on his armor long enough to gasp out one thing]

This... should be interesting...

[and then her skull implodes under the force of his weapon]

[ Garviel cradles her body, lowering her to the ground, and will set her down almost reverently before returning to his overwatch. ]
