Guy grabs a stick off the ground, rushes over to Garviel and levels it at him.]

Sir Warrior. I would like to challenge you to a duel!

[he pauses, looking over his two practice blades, then the stick. Feeling sporting, he tosses the longer blade to the boy.]

"If you wish to learn, I will teach you. But I would not dishonor you by engaging you with an unworthy weapon. Take up the Spatha, and we will begin."

[he takes a battle-stance, saluting the young fellow with the gladius formally.]

Here I come, Sir Garviel.

[He whips his sword in one direction then changes it completely, using his whole body to swing the sword as opposed to just his arm.]

[he takes in the feint at a moment's notice, then takes a half-step back, bringing up his shorter blade in a cross body parry, pitting the strength of his genehanced arm against the young man.]

"A good beginning." [as he holds firm against the swing, he'll lash out with a left handed jab (A punch) at the young man's chest, hard enough to hurt, but not a killing blow.]

[Unfortunately, he is very vulnerable to fighting outside of swords...and you are so huge. He's getting knocked back a bit. Especially since he's not...all that strong.]

[He starts in again, this time aiming his sword for joints. At the moment there's a sword clash, he'll disengage and dance back in.]

Do not think I am new at this. I have fought in wars and a dragon. I am simply lacking some skill for a reason I cannot derive.

"Now that I can explain. Mayfield takes away many things from many people. It took away my bolter, blade, and the implants that made me Astartes. It has taken away my armor as well."

[he nods.]

"I did not mean to condescend. Forgive me." [he offers a gracious bow.]
