I got here early in March. Back then, I don't remember there being any snow.

"Ah! Thank you for the clarification Mamzel. When... is March, exactly? I'm unfamiliar with the terran calendar, you see."

Well, it's the month after this. So it'll be March in about twenty days from now.

[lunawolves10th]

"I see. You've been as helpful as the last time we spoke. A pleasure to hear from you again."

[radiant_will]

Yeah, you too.

I don't think I ever introduced myself, though. My name's Kallen Kouzuki.

[lunawolves10th]

"Ah, Kouzuki. That sounds like a Himalaysian name."

[he coughs]

"Garviel Loken."

[radiant_will]

It's Japanese, where I'm from.

Do you have a country that you serve in?

[lunawolves10th]

"I serve Mankind, and the Emperor. We have unified Terra, and are unifying the stars. So no, I hail from no country in particular. I was born on the planet Cthonia Primus, though."

[radiant_will]

What was Cthonia Primus like? Did you grow up there?

[lunawolves10th]

"It was a hive world. A giant city and mining complex crushed together, with no clear delineation between them. It was very cold, and we lived in tunnels with little light. I... can't remember much beyond that. All I bring with me from Cthonia is my looks and my accent. And my allegiance to Horus Lupercal."

[he pauses.] "Well, my former allegiance, anyway."

That sounds a little dismal.

So what made you switch allegiances?

[lunawolves10th]

"He betrayed our overlord, the Emperor of mankind, and cast a united galaxy and humanity into war. I opposed his course of action, and I believe that when I return to my own time I'll likely die for it. I was in the process of dying when I found myself here."

[radiant_will]

Sounds like you made the right choice, but…

Well, it's stupid for me to say, but I hope you survive. Is there any chance at all?

[lunawolves10th]

"There's always a chance. Astartes are made of very stern stuff indeed. We have survived shuttle crashes from orbit, tanks exploding while we rode in them... loss of limbs." [he stops, realizing he's being boring.] "Even if I die, my death will buy the Emperor time to marshal his loyal forces and quash the rebellion."

[radiant_will]

[Kallen is impressed. She pauses for a second.]

You should fight your hardest to survive. I know that goes without saying, but I bet there's still a lot more good you could do.

"Of course. As long as I live, I am victorious. That is part of our credo."
