One day we'll get nostalgic for disaster
So I've quite recently arrived at work. My options are... pretty endless, actually. I could study for my immunology exam that I have on Thursday at 8 in the morning. I could work on my powerpoint presentation on Trends of Radiopharmaceuticals that I have to present either Tuesday or Thursday of this week. I could get an iced coffee in the cyber cafe. Or I could blow all of my classes off and just read the book I've just started.
Well. I supposed I'll go with the option that I did not even tell you about - update you on my weekend adventures. Sweet.
I love Fridays. Fridays are amazing. I have no class on Fridays, and it's the day that I can sleep in on (sleeping in being 9am.) So I just spend four hours at work (rock on, reserve desk), and accomplish homework. Afterwards I got my first ever FeelGood grilled cheese which was rather delicious. I headed home, and waited for Rachael to stop singing in her choir so we could go downtown! First we went to her bank where the teller was in the TV, then we went to my bank where the teller was not, then we went to starbucks and I got a venti iced chai. Mmmm. Chai. Then I went home! Yay home. I said goodbye to Greg who was going to see a movie then departing for the weekend (I might've gone to the movie too, but I had made other plans already cause I didn't think he'd be around that evening.) Then I ate dinner and went contra dancing. Contra dancing was amazing, and there were some pretty good dancers I don't remember seeing at dances before. Jess and I took Tyler and Julia with us, and we met up with Kae later. Afterwards there was coffee and showering to be had, and then I promptly crashed at about 2 am. I got up at 11:15am on Saturday, showered, ate lunch with JessJess at 12:15ish. Then we had a fun-filled afternoon of venturing downtown (more iced chai, of course), some interesting stores, and new earrings made of Japanese paper with Koi fish on them (too adorable to not buy.) Quick stop at home to get a recipe that Jess's mom had mailed to her, then off to the grocery store to get ingredients for cream puffs. Then, we made cream puffs. What a surprise, right? We also hung up lights outside and moved out our benches for our "Potluck" with Slade, which really turned into us going over there at 7:20, realizing they were jerkfaces cause they canceled and really did not try very hard to tell us they were canceling, but then three of them came over... after we'd eaten most of the food we had. They were nice though, the three that came over. A rousing game of Munchkin followed, and then Cloverfield. Cloverfield was stupid. Discuss. We got home at 12:15 am, and I made it about another half an hour before going to bed. Hence why I was up at 9 am this morning. Showered, went to 10am mass (::gasp::), ate breakfast, read the newspaper. Then Sweba showed up searching for some help with a stats assignment. Then... I watched some of a movie... woke Jess up... band concert... dinner... work... okay, yes, that does bring us up to now.
It was quite the weekend. Highly enjoyable. I hope yours was as well.
Maybe I'll go be productive... or just waste more time.
