Dancing at discos, eating cheese on toast

Okay, everyone. I know you probably think that I've fallen off the face of the earth, but it simply isn't true. I just haven't bothered to update because my life doesn't really change too much from day to day. Mostly I worry about my lack of employment and my doom looming student loans that I have to start paying back in December.

Topic of discussion #1: I lack employment.

It seems like everyone has something to say about it. Something different to say about it. My dad thinks that I should go to California for a while and make some money, and then travel back to the east coast after a year. or two. Which is a really stupid plan. He also thinks I should take a per diem, no matter where it is, or if the commute is an hour and a half. My mom thinks I should stay here. and not go anywhere. They both think I'm way too good to do plenty of things. Which I definitely disagree with. I'd be okay with doing just about anything for a while, making some money, and then taking more classes! I love classes!

Topic of discussion #2: I love classes.

Again, there's way too many things I could take. My dad (and plenty of others) think I should go to med school. I really don't, but in any case, there's classes I'd have to take, like microbiology. Ewww. Or! I could take courses at ccri and become certified in MRI or ultrasound or CT. Or! I could take some continuing education classes at Johnson and Wales in pastry-making. I do love pastry.

Topic of discussion #3: Things I do to entertain myself.

I like reading. I still do a lot of baking. My favorite things to make would be little pies, which are actually kind of like cheating. You use flaky biscuits and then put pie filling in them and you just make the streusel topping. It's great. I also made some strawberry cobbler.. and candybar cheesecake... I have to make some carrot pumpkin cheesecake muffins, when we get some more flour. I really love baking. I also love my nintendo ds. And I spent a week in Vermont with Gregory, which was amazing. Even though it rained most of the week. We watched a lot of movies (most of which were about zombies), and went mini golfing (I won once), and went bowling, and went shopping, and caught toads (well, that was mostly just me), and went to a baseball game to root for the portland seadogs (prior to this trip I wasn't aware of their existence but it was still so much fun!), and Greg's 21st birthday party where some of his family hugged me upon meeting me. They were really great. I went to the Theater by the Sea yesterday to see Peter Pan with my nana, my sister, and my nana's other granddauther, Allie. It was really well done. I love spending time with the fam; I've spent some time with Patti-kins in the past two weeks which is lovely. We went to the beach with my aunt and Rachel - sometimes I forget how amazing the beach is.

Topic of discussion #4: In other news.

I have a pandora bracelet, on which I have two charms - the hedgehog, and the graduation cap. For quite obvious reasons. Also, I have a hedgehog. Her name is Pineapple and she's adorable. I love her.

Peace out, girl scout. (and also those non-girl-scouts.) The time has come to meet up with Stacey for some Carrabba's.
