John's situation.
As I've been reading the recent posts it's clear that there are a lot of things that *should* have been said that haven't been, primarily due to the reason that they wouldn't be heard, and would in all likeliness do more damage than good. I keep thinking, "if only we could get John's dad to read these, to listen," or something, and I realize that is impossible. So then I thought, "what if there is someone he would Have to listen to?"
Who that particular person may be is unknown. Obviously not his wife. My one thought is maybe send what you all have wrote to the/a pastor of their church. Get somebody that has real community influence and prestige to take an interest, and show them what John's dad is doing. Hypothetically you'd really have him by the balls. I don't think John's dad would ever dream of blowing off a preacher, he's way to superficial and concerned about his public image. It's a long shot, but it seems like a straight shot.
