Where to begin...
Let's see, many of you actually don't know that I went on a trip at all, but I just got back two nights ago (nearly the morning after) from a three day run to Boise, Idaho. Some of you may be wondering why I might go to such a (cough) fun filled and exciting location. The primary reason was to see a NIN concert. This in itself is a paradox as they were playing in portland the day we left for Boise. But they were also playing in Boise the next day, where a few of Holly's friends were going to be, and she really wanted to see them, so whatever.
First day wasn't much, we got a hotel and ate at the Olive Garden. Wasn't bad, and meeting Holly's friends Ryan and Spencer made for a very interesting evening, including parking in an intersection at night right infront of a cop. So actually the first day was pretty cool.
Second day was fun in it's own right, we went to the mall and went shopping. For the first time in my life (or in the most blatent and ironic way) I actually bought happiness. Since this item of 'happiness' is going to be a birthday present, I will not reveal what it is or why it is what it is. Then there was the concert. I guess I'm just not a NIN fan, oh well. But there was no mash pit to speak of. WTF. Will never forgive Idahoans. They suck.
Third day was uneventful. Had breakfast at Denny's (again) and saw the Da Vinci Code. It was just like the book except Tome Hanks was a genius that could figure out puzzles that normally took days in 5mins. or less. Guess that makes up for his, not bad but flat, acting. Oh and our flight was delayed 2.25 hours. That was fun. And they Maxi Light Rail system apparently has absolutely no weapon restrictions (believe me I was trying to find Anything the would even imply that I shouldn't be wearning my knife on board). Rock on Portland! Knifes are better than rock shows anyway.
