(no subject)
Got up early Saturday, picked up Michelle and Noreen and headed for Wainfleet, where we grabbed breakfast and went to the auction. The tack part of the sale was cool and I came a hair’s breadth from bidding on a saddle but Michelle said wait and we’ll get one on Ebay cheap or the same but for one I want.
Was touched because I asked Noreen about reins when they were selling some and she said that I shouldn’t bother… that there were enough kicking around the barn that they could lend me some of theirs. She seems very generous.
Anyways, the horse part of the sale was hard and I cried. It was hard seeing them go so cheep and knowing I couldn’t buy one because I couldn’t keep it. Noreen said not to worry, that they’re going to have foals coming eventually and she’d sell to me cheep : )
After the sale we went to the barn where we got to watch Andrea ride Oreo the stud. I felt bad for her/him because everyone was on the poor thing and giving correction and instruction and I think it was messing the horse up.
I also felt a little jealousy when Brenda was riding Rio…. I know, it’s weird, but true : (
The whole day I was stressing because I couldn’t get hold of Teresa and was bummed about missing the chance to fo to Brampton, but then it turned out okay because Adrian called and came here. : )
Sunday, I was going to get housework done and such, but then I would have been bored and sitting in front of the computer, so I called Michelle. I got a bit of running around done and then went and grabbed her, had breakfast together, then we got her groceries and went to the barn. I groomed Storm and Zinny and Mindy and Stormy, then rode Rio in the ring.
He was in a mood and Michelle had ridden him hard in the ring trying to get him to straighten out and canter, so when I got on him, he was being an asshole. Michelle said he might be getting ring sour, and I said I was, so she let me take him around the front and back field for a bit which I liked sooo much better than the ring.
By the time I got home, I was tired and then Mel needed to talk - she’s got some big decisions to make about work and school and we agreed I’ll try and help gather info.
Anyways, got to work…
