Run 1

Things I had forgotten about running:

1 - The initial feeling of "huh, this isn't bad at all" that fades after about two minutes.
2 - The unique discomfort that comes from running up a hill.
3 - So. Much. Phlegm.
4 - The envy that comes from seeing sprightly, fitter people jog easily past you.
4b - The swift realization that they are probably feeling about the same you are.
5 - The fact that there's no point in showering for at least 10-15 minutes after I stop because my body has not yet got the message that the exercise has stopped and so I can cease sweating now, please.
6 - The wonderful 3-4 minutes when the perfect song comes on and you don't feel any discomfort at all (today it was 'Let it Go', from Frozen)
7 - The satsifcation of hitting 'end run'.

So yeah, 3.75 miles in 33'24". Initial goals will be to just make sure I get out every day, followed by cutting out drops-to-walks once I'm in a reasonably comfortable groove.
