Jamie Sky sat on the tile floor of her parent’s master bathroom, the fifteen year old soon kneeling before the toilet to make another offering to the porcelain gods. And while she had a sinking feeling as to why she was feeling like this, and seated on the bathroom floor on a Saturday morning instead of meeting with Kelly at the mall, she couldn’t bring herself to face that thought. Her mother might understand but her father most definitely wouldn’t and especially not in the shadows of her perfect older sister Madison. Because, after all, Madison was a stand-out cheerleader, honor roll student, homecoming queen and prom queen- Jamie had to be as well.

Jamie had at least filled the head cheerleader role, last year becoming the first freshman (aside from Madison) to pull off such a stunt.

But now all of that was in jeopardy, everything that she had worked for- her grades, her role as head cheerleader and her spot on the track team… and all because of one stupid mistake. Honestly Jamie wasn’t even sure if her boyfriend would care. Or maybe he would, she really didn’t know. Jamie wasn’t expecting miracles where he was concerned. If he came around then he came around and if he didn’t, then he didn’t.

Jamie would cross that bridge when she got to it.

Still, she knew that this was going to destroy her family (and not to mention the perfect family image that her father loved to portray in the pristine suburb of Greenwich Connecticut) and change her life as she knew it.

But she would deal with that when it came time to deal with it, Jamie more concerned about combating the overwhelming morning sickness that she was experiencing.
