After ruling out charades, Pictionary, ghost stories and another game of Twister; the four decided on a simple game of poker. At first they were going to play Blackjack, but that was ruled out due to previous ‘cheating’ issues that were brought up by Lisa and Randy. Obviously, Amy didn’t really know all of the details, but rather than inquire further, she just went along with it.

“We’re playing Texas Hold Em’,” Amy said as she shuffled the deck, “everyone knows how to play, right?”

“Of course we do,” Adam replied as he set out shot glasses, the four seated around the low coffee table in the living room. “But what are we gambling with?”

Lisa shot him a warning look, “it definitely won’t be with our clothing, so you can rule that out. I’m sure I have some candy or something that we can use though.”

While she left to do that, Amy continued to shuffle the deck, Randy watching her closely. “Were you a card dealer or something?”

Amy winked, “that’s for me to know. Maybe I just know my way around a deck of cards.”

Randy smirked at that, “I’m sure that’s all there is to it.”

Amy simply shrugged, continuing to shuffle the deck before placing it in front of him, “you can cut.”

“I feel so privileged,” he remarked in a somewhat dry tone but cut the deck anyway.

Adam coughed loudly, “I’m just going to see if there’s any pop left to mix with the Southern Comfort… and then see what’s taking Lisa so long.”

Randy watched his friend’s departure, rolling his eyes as he set the deck in front of Amy. “I’m sorry for the way that they’re acting.”

Amy snorted softly, “trust me, I’m used to this kind of stuff… well, not the getting snowed in with almost strangers but the getting set up part.”

The third generation wrestler arched an eyebrow at her, “I’m sure I could tell you plenty of horrid blind-date stories.”

“And I bet that I can trump each and every one of them,” the redhead smiled dryly, “trust me, when I say, the dating pool isn’t exactly deep in Durango, Colorado. Usually we have to rely on the tourists.”

“Oh really?”

“Yup… in fact, my boss was asking about you.”

Randy looked momentarily stupefied, “your boss?”

Amy nodded, rolling her shoulders a little, “he’s gay. And, in his words, you’re a fine specimen of American male. Basically, he thinks that you’re hot and he wants in your pants.”

Randy grimaced at that, “I don’t swing that way, sorry to disappoint him.”

“I kinda figured after the visit to the hot springs,” Amy said and then arched an eyebrow, “and don’t even try to deny it.”

“I wasn’t going to,” the St. Louis native said, blue eyes suddenly curious. “So, if that’s what your boss thinks of me…”

Amy laughed, “Don’t even try it. I still barely know you, despite the fact that we’re more or less trapped in this cabin until tomorrow.” There was something else holding her back, and he could clearly see it. “I really can’t be that much different from the numerous women that I’m sure you’ve met.”

Randy shook his head, “actually you are. You aren’t like a lot of women that I know, actually.”

The redhead snorted softly, “and is that because I didn’t immediately fall at your feet?”

He grinned, “Well there’s that but…” Randy paused, not wanting to offend her by saying the wrong thing. Though, he also realized that the likelihood of them meeting again wasn’t very high, he didn’t exactly want to leave a bad impression. “You just aren’t like any other woman that I’ve met. You’re different.”

She shook her head, “I’ve heard that a lot so if you’re going to try and use a pick-up line, try again.”

He rubbed a hand over his face, “I have a feeling that no matter what I say or do, you’re going to find something wrong or find some excuse.” Randy licked his lips, debating on what he should say or do next.

The blue eyed wrestler was just about to say something when he was stopped by a pair of soft lips on his, there and gone before he could react. However, as Amy was pulling back he threaded a hand through her hair bringing her back to claim her lips with his.
